Often for interviews, you can find yourself needing to make a presentation of yourself. This is, for most people, a tricky thing to do. One of our readers posed a question to our readers about this very problem.

10 minute presentation of Why Me? – the new business sales person.

I have an interview VERY soon where I have to do a 5 to 10 minute presentation of why me – the new business sales person.

I do not have a clue where to start, what should it look like, what the content should be and I am running out of time. Although I am experienced in sales I am not in giving presentations so nerves really are getting the better of me.

Can anyone offer me some advice or know of where I can find an already completed presentation that I could tweak.

I would suggest that you simply present your best ever or proudest sale. Show the customer problem, how you overcame the problem and the real challenge is to present feedback from the customer (like a reference letter) about what a great sales person you are. If possible hand round the reference letter.

The real key once you have everything together is to rehearse.
