I just lost my best friend of 20+ years. I would have to say that you need to remember your friend and talk about what kind of person he/she was..

The Flow

I have recently lost a best friend in a horrible car accident.
I had to write a eulogy in 3 days.. I basically wrote as much as my discombobulated -still in shock- mind could write. Thought of lyrics from some music cause you can almost not think of a single thing.
When you walk across the alter a surge of energy/adrenaline comes through you, you go blank and stare out to everyone and your heart just releases …the words on that paper become only a guidline to what just comes from your heart…The words you want to say will not come out the way you wanted them to but no matter what you say up there it comes out better than you think. It clears your head and makes you feel good.. So write a few things and do it from the heart.

SAY WHAT COMES FROM THE HEART : TO THE WORLD THEY WERE A PERSON , TO US THEY WERE THE WORLD

I lost my best friend of 30 years. I could not speak at the service, it was too much. Please say what comes naturally to you. If you cannot do it, then do not force yourself. It seems it is not until later that you really know what you have lost. You can even say that, that when you have good times and bad times, your friend will not be there in body, but will be there in spirit and you will continue to talk to him or her. Hang in there, it is very hard.

Poetry help for those who lose friends

Nicholas Morrison was so fine
He was one who towed the line
His Mother Peggy and Father Joe
Trained him in the way to go
Joe Jr., his brother and Samantha his sister
helped him patch up more than one blister
Bright and cheerful and a little jockey
Nick excelled at icy hockey
Basketball and paintball gave him joy
He’s was good at ball since he was a boy
Nicholas graduated from Big Spring High
He played football there, not just to tie
Whatever he tried, he did his best
So Nick stood out among the rest
He wanted to serve his country in war
It had to be the US Marine Corps
Nick was stationed at Camp Lejeune
Where they could tell how he was hewn
Nick learned the missile system of the humvee
He was ready to set the missiles free
Nick got to Iraq and felt much ire
When his unit came under fire
I don’t know how the battle went
But when it ended his life was spent
He did much for others, he was so fine
He’s up in Heaven, his halo does shine.
Nicholas got through the pearly gate
Courageous action determined his fate

Mark Evnin was a helpful guy
In doing his duty he was not shy
Wanted to join the military since small
Served as a marine strong and tall
Graduated South Burlington High
Mark helped laboratory projects fly
Once when his teacher was sick
Mark was ready he acted quick
He got lab projects ready fro an exhibition
Made presentation, completed the mission
Thought of Air Force, joined the Marines
Used a cell phone from battle scenes
Trained as a scout and as a sniper
Mark was cool yes never hyper
What he wanted was lasting peace
To solve problems and wars decrease
Died in a firefight, don’t have facts
Mike and Mindy parents and grandad Max
Will miss him dearly, semper fi
Mark’s with God where angel’s fly

I write poems for anyone not just heroes
