help DR!! my 21st bday is coming up next week and i dunno what to do for the speech bit... im already getting some friends to do a speech .. but then im stuck on my own... i wanna make something "atypical".... something interesting.. i wanna steer away from the normal standing up with speech on paper pose....

i was thinking of maybe a presentation slideshow of photos ... but then i dunno how to interweave my speech into it without making it seem so long.
coz the slideshow runs for quite a while ~5min of just plain photos..and if i add speech in as well.. that'll be heaps long... don't wanna bore ppl!

I think that the photos is a great idea, but I would suggest that you cut them down to a smaller number 10-15 should be adequate - and don't take too long on each picture.

Rather than having two separate sections - the speech and the photos - just combine the two together. This should work out fine.

The other technique that you could try is to start off with a few facts about the year you were born in - who was in the charts etc. You could contrast what is different and what is the same.

why not try say thankyou to him for being part of your family, and being there for you ( if he has ) i have a step dad who has treated me a lot better than my biological one, so try looking into some of the things you have done with your step dad. mention how proud you are of him .. none of this may help but it's only a thought. let him know how much he is loved if you need to as well.

anyone there who can help me??? Im celebrating my 24th birthday tommorow. And theres always a embarrasing thing at my work. Everyone gathering together, singing happy birthday ..bla bla..I wnated to to something unexpected and do a small speech, they would never expect that. But only thing is that im polish and cant do it proper way. I just wont read something gramaticly incorect in front of my managers and everyone. Reminisce on the times whn u and your dad have had loads of fun together. Tell him how special u feel to have him as your dad. Also u can tell him in what ways he has been inspiring and what is the best thing that you have learnt and imbibed from him.
