Adding humour to a wedding speech.

My mother is re-marrying a man who has been my friend for over 20 years. I am ecstatic. I have been asked to be Best Lady and hence I am to make a speech. How do I add humour to my speech, bearing in mind that I know both parties very well, they are both and older couple and I am also responsible for them meeting? Please help...!!

Seriously, your wedding speech doesn't have to be super funny. And in your case what you really need is to express your love, acceptance and understanding to each other as a family. A wedding speech, should have some humor in it. However, this should not be some stand up comedy act and should have a good combination of humor as well as sentiment yet classy.

That wedding sounds like a lovely occasion. A Best Man or Best Lady speech doesnt necessarily need to be awash with humor as compliments and flattery play a major part too in successful Best Man speeches.
