Help! Local history presentation

Hi guys ,im new so bare with me. I've got a in a history presentation to deliver, the topic is the relevance of local history in the wider context of historical studies, any pointers or tips on how to approach the topic and what i should cover would be appreciated

You've just pretty much asked us to do your presentation for you! A better approach is simply not to panic but to ask yourself three simple questions
1/ What does my audience already know before I start?
2/ What do I need them to know by the end of the presentation?
3/ What do I need to tell them to get from one to the other?

It's not rocket science but if you can be brutally honest with yourself about those questions you'll get a pretty good idea of what to say. Onc you'e got the 'what' you can worry about the 'how', but not before.
