In The Time of the Butterflies creative presentation

I have to make a relevant, informative, and creative presentation for my english class. we were told to pick a topic from the novel that we are reading and I am reading In the Time of the Butterflies. I picked Trujillo (dictator of the Dominicican Republic) and his assassination of the Mirabal sisters. We have to include info on the author and themes from our book (book is about woman standing up for what they belive in, even in the face of death). I know they made a movie out of the book and I thought I could include part of it somehow but I'm stuck on what else I should do. PS: TEACHER DOES NOT LIKE POWERPOINT PRES's and there's not really a time limit. I would really appreciate any tips you guys have.

This may be a bit off the top and may not work for you. But, what I would do is figure out how many females are in your class and find a woman (including your heroines in the novel) to represent each female in your class. Give each female in your class a card with their heroines name. This heroine would have a short bio of who she was, how she faced her challenges (even death), what that lady did to help humankind and what the world may be without ..if she did not stand up for what was "right"...(i.e. if a lady invented a vaccine...how many people would be dead, if she did not)
example: Rosa Parks...She may have fought for a seat on a bus (like many others...and she faced physical harm/death). If she did not do that...if nobody did that, what would black females being doing right now. Find medical pioneers and scientists (Madame Currie types) who faced physical harm, etc...
Have each lady sit or leave the room after telling her story...
