Its a 3 minutes presentation~!

Hi there, im going to have a presentation next week, so what i'm about to ask is, is there any topic that could draw people attention in 3 minutes. The maximum time will be 5 minutes, and the lecturer said that we cannot present more than 5 minutes or she will reduce the mark... I try to think about an interesting topic so that my classmates will not be bored when i give a presentation, and thats the reason why i have to try an interesting topic for them. the point will be given -/15, and that include the language, how fluently you give your speech, and content. Thanks.

One topic that will hold everyone's interest in a classroom is to base your presentation on a recent TV show

Here is one example
My Pop Idol - describe who you think would be your pop idol e.g John Lennon and why

Another example could be
Who I would most like to see evicted or put into the big brother house.

Either way make sure that you use pictures.

To keep on time write out your speech and make sure that you rehearse it - and particularly the timings. If you keep to 4 minutes 30 seconds then you will not go too far wrong.

Also make sure that you take a watch with you. If you have a podium yu can d**** it across the podium so you can see how the timing is going.

I am a nursing student and I have a presentation due in two weeks. I have a presentation on Nursing Theories and I have chosen 4 major concepts. Is there any other creative ways I can present this topic other than just PowerPoint?

If you want to avoid powerpoint - Role play is one way of doing it.

You could get four friends or colleagues lined up. You could then apply the 4 different nursing theories to them one after another.

If you can not get 4 volunteers you could use dolls or teddy bears for the same type of treatment.
