5 mins presentation - how i perform the job

Hello All

I would very much appreciate some advice. The job spec for the interview is contained over 5 pages, and contains many different areas of the post. I need to break all this down into 5 minutes, and would be very grateful for any tips you have on how to approach the presentation, what are the main areas I should concentrate on in order to impress the most !

Apologies - I don't quite understand what you have been tasked to do - what is the aim of the presentation you are doing and in what context is it?

Are you applying for a job or are you telling prospective candidates about the job?
What is the job?

The job is for an Adminstrative Manager in a very busy office in the Public Service. I have been shortlisted based on my CV. My presentation is on how I intend to perform the job, and I have 5 minutes to do it in ( the job spec contains a list of very detailed admin functions ) I have been given no other instructions for the presentation. ( There is only one job, and I really want to get it !). Should I be approaching the presentation from a theoretical, or a practical level ?

Firstly - I have identified the key areas of the post
Secondly - I have identified the skills I see necessary to perform these functions
Thirdly - i am thinking about examples of how I have utilised these skills in the past

Am I on the right track ?, and secondly - how do I fit all this in to 5 minutes ? can you suggest a more appropriate approach to get across the main points?
