PPT 2000 vs PPT 2003 - Custom Animation

Greetings,

I used to have little difficulty custom-animating PPT 2000 slides where I could select and insert different objects, text, etc in the sequence I needed, play them back, and make any changes required.

In PPT 2003 I'm totally at sea! Everything has changed. It's become so much more complex with options I have no need of.

A nice step-by-step pictorial tutorial would help matters. Do they exist? A command comparison between 2000 and 2003 would work too. Can I access these resources online?

Many thanks,

Mike

Tutorial

I recently upgraded from Office 2000 Premium to Office XP Pro to solve a problem I couldn't overcome in 2000 i.e. using a different template on each slide.

As far as a step by step tutorial: Video Professor has an excellant tutorial (which I used to learn PPT XP or 2003). I don't know about accessing this tutorial online, I believe you can but you must still pay for it. Personally I ordered the program and they give you the option to return one of the disks, (there are three), I returned disk 1 as it essentially just the basics that you probably already know if you've used any version of PPT, and all you end up paying is the shipping cost of $5.99. This tutorial includes lessons for PPT 2000, 2001 and 2003 (pretty much the same as PPT XP). I highly recommend it as it was very helpful to me.

This tutorial is in video and you open your version of PPT and follow along with each step physically which, at least for me, re-enforces the point and helps me to remember what I learned...
