Ways to separate embedded narration from powerpoint?

Hello, someone I'm trying to help has created several powerpoint slides with voice narration and has embedded them into the slides. The problem, is she would like to edit the sound files themselves. I havn't been able to find a way to do this, as she did not create a link to the files when she recorded them. Are we out of luck, or is there a way to separate the embedded sound files from the slides? Any help is appreciated.

Your friend could play the presentation and record the sound to her hard drive using an application like Smart Sound Recorder or Freecorder, Ben. The sound can be saved in WAV or MP3 format, it could then by edited with your favourite sound editor. The original embedded sound would then be deleted from the presentation and the newly edited sound files applied. It would be wise to try this out on a copy of the presentation first though.

Better yet, just go to save as and save the pp as a webpage. All the embeded files will then me separated and place into a folder in the same directory that you saved it in.
