Problem showing Arrows in Powerpoint 2007

Hi guys! I need help with Powerpoint 2007.

When I put an arrow in Powerpoint 2007 (Windows) (either by inserted the symbol or typing in --> ), it shows up fine on the screen, but when I run the slide show, it only shows up as only the bottom half of the arrow, with the top half being obscured.

I've attached 2 JPEGs to demonstrate. picture1.jpg is of the edit mode in Powerpoint, picture2.jpg is the slide show of the same slide (no changes).

Anybody know how to fix this?

This may sound crazy but make sure that you have a default printer set up. (Even if you don't have a printer.)

If this doesn't work I'll be happy to have a look at your file

It worked!!

I'll be gosh-darned!! It worked!

I already had a default printer set up (a Lexmark T620 laser). When I switched the default printer to an HP PSC 2400 All-in-One Inkjet, the Powerpoint slide was fixed!!! When I switched it back to the Lexmark, it went back to messing up the arrow.

That is a very weird bug. Is it my drivers for the Lexmark? Is it a Powerpoint problem? Weird...

Thanks a ton, John!

I tried replying a couple of days ago, but the message never got posted...

Anyway, John, IT WORKED! Thank you! When I switch my default printer to my HP Inkjet, the arrows work perfectly. When I switch back to the Lexmark laser, it disappears again.

I've tried updating my Lexmark drivers, which didn't work. Any other ideas as to why this might be happening? Anyway, at least it works with the HP printer.

Thanks a ton!

Glad it worked. Unfortunately you can probably guess how I know this ...
My laser is in constant use so switching it from the default is a real pain!
