ppt 2007 text animation 'by word' intermittent using zoom.

I just bought a new Fujitsu Lifebook S7111 core 2 duo, 1.8 Gzh , 2GB ram, Window Vista. After installing Office 2007, I was very happy with all the new features untill I came to use text animation . Setting selected: zoom, text appear 'by word' and % delay between word is set at 40 to sychronize with speach record output. When playing the slide show, I have the following problem:-
1) If the text animation start in "On Click", the starting of the text words appear fine but become very intermittent as it play further down. So it does not synchrinise with the voice out put of the speach.
2) If the text animation start in "After Previous", the starting of the text words struggle to appear. If I use the up arrow key to go back and quickly press the down arrow key to advance the slide again, then the text animation will appear fine.

My ppt presentation is mainly to do with big text and do not encounter this with my 3 yrs old Fujitsu S6210 using ppt 2003.

Please advice me could it be a software problem or is it the computer hardware problem.

Please someone help is appreciated for I could not proceede with my work.

I have the same issue...and it is on several different machines.

Text animation in various forms stutters to play and is VERY slow in Powerpoint 2007. Convert the file to Powerpoint 2003 and the animations work perfectly. I have run the same show on a highend Alienware computer down to a low end laptop and the same problem appears in 2007 but not in 2003.
