Does anyone know how to do a controlled zoom and horizontal cropping of a powerpoint slide so as to achieve the so called Ken Burns effect used by photoshack.com ?
Is it possible? |

Ken Burns effect
I have just been shown the Ken Burns effect on a friend's mac and was rather underwhelmed.
It seems to be just a slow zoom on a static image to create a feeling of movement. I don't have a copy of powerpoint open with me, but from memory on Custom Animation it the setting is either zoom or expand, with the timing set to slow or very slow. The results may be a bit jagged but it should do the trick. If you need to crop the image then you will probably need to add a frame over the top of the image. this could be done as a transparent image in photoshop or for a crude version you could create a frame out of 4 rectangles (or even make an autoshape like this) Hope this helps p.s.
