Creating a template from an image
Apologies if this is a really basic question - I'm totally new to powerpoint. I want to use a .jpg template from powerbacks.com - but I want to change the text on it. Do I have to do this in a photo editor - or can I achieve this in powerpoint itself? Is this a normal thing to do - use a .jpg template from one of the many free sites - then manipulate it to suit, or is it better to start from scratch?

This sounds to me like the 'text' is part of an image (eg. jpg)
So you will either have to use a photo editor (photoshop et al) or draw something over the text in powerpoint. cheers |

Thanks. And is there any tips on using my own images to use as a background - I've read about using Photoshop to manipulate them - but is there an easier program?
