color of uploaded images

Please tell me what is the problem. When I upload photos to a Powerpoint slideshow, the images looked like they have been "tweaked," that is, the color is not as the original is. The reds are too red, and all the colors are too bright. All I want is a slideshow with colors of my photos that are as they are supposed to be. Let me add that I reduced them 75% so they would not be too large for the site they will be on. When I view them reduced on my computer, the color is not changed, so why is the color changed when I put them on Powerpoint? Thanks so much.
