Large AVI files in PPT wont play

AVI files approximately 125MB to 145MB will not play in my 2007 Powerpoint presentation. The files are all located in the same folder as the PPT Presentation. Any ideas?

Assuming you have a reasonably powerful PC files of that size should play.

Are you sure you have the correct codec?
Does the folder have a short path?

Maybe run the file through Media Encoder 9 > WMV and see if that helps
