Locking items on the master? Urgent!
Hi All,
Can anyone help me, I'm creating a template for a client and for a final detail they have asked for some of the items, items that will never need to be moved or edited, to be locked on the master. The items are simple a large red square, a line and logo. Is there a way to lock these items, the only way I could see to do this was to crease an image of these items and drop it in as a background image, but this is going to increase the size of the file an loose quality. Any help would be much appreciated. Steve |

There's no real way to do this One workaround which will defeat the average dabbler is to move the shapes in question to the back and zoom out to 10%. Insert a rectangle in front of the shapes and make it as large as possible then set its fill transparency to 100%. In normal zoom levels the rectangle will select but you won't be able to tell and the shapes behind can't be selected. Not foolproof but works 99% of the time.
