How to change colors in photo album

I have received a PP photo album. The pictures in there change from initially black and white to color.

Can someone tell me how this color change is being done. I was unable to figure it out. Thanks.

Two similar ways top get this effect both need two images one B&W and one colour.

Put the B&W in front of the colour and have it exit fade
OR
Put the colour in front and have it entrance fade

John, thank you very much for the answer. But i am still a little lost. In the PP predentation of which I posted the video, only the color picture shows in the left pane when I open it with PP. I kind of suspected that you needed a black and white and a color version of the picture. But how are they "hiding" the black and white?
If you could give me a little more detail, I would appreciate. Also, if there is a tutorial somewhere that you can link, that would be great.

Probably the color picture is directly in front of the black and white and obscuring it. Look in the custom animation pane for a fade entrance.

John, I figured it out. You have to shove the B/W picture behind the color picture. You do that in Design > Background styles > Format background > Fill > Picture or Texture. The "Fade" part for the color picture then has to be added. And I always automate the presentations by setting a timing. - Plus music, of course.
Since this is such a neat trick, I will make a little video tutorial about it and post it here. Is that appropriate?

It's not neccessary to insert the B&W as background in fact it will make it harder to exactly line up the two images. Just make two copies, one B&W and send to back.
