Is Powerpoint appropriate for me...?
Hi guys,
I would really appreciate your help and advice on the following: I have a big job presentation to give on Friday, but I have checked out the room to find that it is a small office with very little room and definitely no projector screen. I'm going to be presenting to 3 people who may be behind a desk, with me presenting perhaps a few feet in front of them. I've been told that a monitor screen may be visible, but can envisage all sorts of problems on the day i.e monitor doesn't talk to laptop, the monitor won't work, there is no monitor in the room etc. etc. So, my thoughts are that I have three options... 1 - Take an LCD screen in and run it off the laptop. Disadvantages are that I may not be able to easily find a power socket and/or viewing angle is not sufficient for the audience. I also may not have time to prepare the room so set up must be easy and quick. 2 - Take a battery powered LCD picture frame in. I won't need a power source, and I could export the power point pictures to SD card so its all self contained (with my laptop screen as backup) and the viewing angle is usually better. Its also slimmer than a LCD monitor screen so may fit in my case easier. It may be a bit smaller however... 3 - Don't use visuals. I don't really want to do this as I think I should have some visual prompts. Any help, thoughts, advice would be really appreciated!! Thanks T |
