Sales Rep Job Presentation - Help Needed Desperately!!!

Hi folks,

I hope some of you m ay be able to assist me or email me some helpful information, if at all possible. I urgently need some help on "Why I think I would be a good sales rep..."

I will have a flip chart and access to an OHP, the presentation needs to be approx 5 min, role is within a FMCG company. Have previous sales floor experience, but no idea how to handle this, never had to do a job interview presentation before, interview is next week, anyone have any suggestions, help or notes they could share?? If so please feel free to send whatever you can to my email address, all help really appreciated!

I would start by having a look around the site - particularly around the presentations section. There is lots of good advice that you should find useful. In particular you should read the articles on Essential Presentation Skills.

As regards what to present the answer is always the same - You should get feedback from others and present this.

You say that you have previous sales floor experience. Simply ask your customers or your colleagues to describe your sales skills. Even better if you can get a letter or email. You just need to structure this into your presentation in 3 main sections. e.g. People describe my sales skills as ... Consultative, Good listener, Tenacious and give an example of each one peppered with some of the feedback. Also show the interviewers some of the feedback.
