interesting attention grabber

I have to give a 5 minute presentation about Post 16 education and training at a job interview. Could anyone give me some ideas for an interesting attention grabber to start the presentation.

You could use a story, action or a shocking statement, just be sure it ties in with your education speech. You could use a story about a teacher and the way she saw improvement, or an action would be a child in an embarissing moment, or a shocking statement about what you are implying about your edu speech.

I need an attention Grabber for an essay about genghis khan

Make a papier mache head, by using a blown up ballon with strips of newspaper and glue. You can then paint the head and leave the neck part as red (like blood).

You start the presentation by not saying anything and knocking the "head" around the floor with a hockey stick.

You can then say something like.. "You may know Genghis Khan best for the stories of Genghis Khan's troops playing polo with the enemy's head for a ball... "

You will then have their full attention.
