Please help me choose a product to present!!!

I've just been notified that I have a presentation interview in one week. This is for a sales position. The brief email explained that the presentation will be given to one person, and should be product related. They suggested that I present a product I've sold before. Here is my dilema: I could present an intangible product from a previous employer which may require a lot of background to make certain the audience understands, or I can present a product for a company that is not on my resume. If I choose the latter, my concern is it could raise questions regarding how I know about the product since the company isn't listed on my resume. I would appreciate any feedback or advice regarding my choice.

I would suggest that you choose the intangible product from a former company as your presentation model.

Bear in mind that the interviewer short-listed you for interview based on the contents of your resume, therefore the previous experience you have outlined is why they are keen to meet you.

If you feel that the subject matter may be too complicated for the interviewer to understand fully then provide visual aids to enhance your interview.
