No props, subject unknown: Preparation advice???
Hi there,
I have stumbled across this website today and I very much hope that someone maybe able to help (rather urgently). I am in junior position in the civil service applying for a very competitive training scheme (not fast stream). My interview is on Tuesday morning. I have been told that I will be given 30 minutes to read some industry related documents outlining some type of problem and then asked to give a 10 minute presentation followed by 10 minutes of questions on how I would resolve the problem (and we won't have any props such as slides, PP or hand outs). I have virtually no experience of public speaking or presentations and naturally am very worried (read: panicked) especially as tonnes of presentation advice basicaly involves practicising in advance and using well structured props. I need help and advice on - how to prepare for something that i can't prepare for! - how to rapidly prepare a presentation in 30 mins so that it will make sense - techniques so that i don't completely muff it. And any other help anyone can give me please ![]() thanks, Fay |
