I am not far only in the next room

If you think you see a shadow ..... it is me

if you feel a breeze on your cheek ..... it is me

it isnt "Death is Nothing"

Can you identify this for me?

Could it be this...

If the dead can come back to this earth and flit unseen around those they loved, I shall always be near you; In the gladdest days and in the darkest nights . . . always, always, and if there be a soft breeze upon your cheek, it shall be my breath, as the cool air fans your throbbing temple, it shall be my spirit passing by. Sarah do not mourn me dead; think I am gone and wait for thee, for we shall meet again.

-- Major Sullivan Ballou, to his wife, a week before his death in July 1861, at the Battle of Bull Run during the Civil War. Quoted in do***entary, "The Civil War" by Ken Burns.

Death is nothing at all - I have only slipped away into the next room.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.

Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play; smile; think of me; pray for me:
Let my name be the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort.
Love means all that it ever meant.

It is the same as it ever was; there is absolutely unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well .. Nothing is past; nothing is lost.
One brief moment, and all will be as it was before - only better, infinitely happier and forever will we all be one together with Christ
Amen.
